This superb car has just been fully restored from
the chassis upwards at enormous expense. It is original in every
detail with new burgundy and ivory paintwork.
This car is reputed to have been owned by the Duke
of Marlborough at one time in it's history.
The interior has been fully re-upholstered by hand
in beige Connoly leather and is supremely comfortable. There is
very good access and space in the rear for the larger wedding
dresses.
Seating capacity is three in the rear plus 2
occasional seats making 5 altogether. One of the occasional seats
can be seen in this photograph. The back of these seats lift up
towards the doors so that the 2 seats then face each other across the
car.
The roof of the front section of the car consists of
a sliding section which can be opened as shown here, or closed if
desired. There is seating in the front for one passenger.
A major advantage of the sliding roof section is that it gives
excellent access for a photographer to gain interior photographs with
good daylight into the rear of the car.
This car has has all the accoutrements of it's
marque, and no detail has been spared. It has the luggage box on
the rear, the spare wheel on the side and all the original driver's
instruments. The rear compartment has the wind-up window between the
driver and the rear passengers and the obligatory drinks cabinet etc, right down to the original
chronometer for the passengers to see the time whilst travelling.
This car is a superb example of what real restoration is all
about, and it is now available for your pleasure.
